About the BYHA

The Brampton Youth Hockey Association provides a community based hockey experience for over 4,000 children. In operation for over seventy-five years the BYHA has seen minor hockey grow and flourish as our city grows. An increasing number of new home developments and the rapid growth of our business community has made minor hockey a focus of winter activities for a significant number of Brampton families.

Where Do My Sponsorship Dollars Go?

Your sponsorship dollars do more than supply sweaters and socks, for our teams. Your generosity enables the BYHA to operate a Hockey Development Program that is second to none. Our children and volunteers benefit for the Hockey Development commitment to improving the skills of our players and developing the best possible coaches and trainers for our organization.

Beginners can learn to skate and receive basic hockey skills in our Hockey School program open to youngsters from 5 to 7 years of age. Throughout the hockey season Skill Development clinics, weekly Power Skating programs, Coaching Certification classes and Trainer Certification classes are offered.

The House League program offers recreational hockey to children for 7 to 20 and this group represents the largest number of participants.

Our unique Intra-City League offers children of higher skill level the opportunity to play in a local league with team from Bolton and Caledon Minor Hockey Associations plus attend OMHA sanctioned tournaments.

The "AAA", "AA", and "A" Representative level offers competitive hockey for players to excel at the sport. These teams play in the Central AAA and Tri County AA leagues.

The BYHA must provide ice time for games and practices for all levels and represents a significant portion of our budget.

The registration fee for players covers only a small percentage of our costs. The BYHA strives to keep registration fees to a minimum so that no child will be disappointed because the fee exceeds the families' ability to pay.

How Does My Company Benefit?

By becoming a BYHA sponsor your company is sending a powerful message not only to the community but also to your employees. Many of your employees have children or relatives that play hockey in the BYHA.

Studies indicate that employee morale is improved when their employer sponsors activities in the community that assist their children.

Studies further show that parents will support a sponsor before making a purchase elsewhere.

Please help us continue our tradition of hockey excellence in Brampton.
